Menu bar, calendar and alerts
Lalela can sit quietly in the background and make sure you never miss the moment to hit record — from your Mac's menu bar, your calendar, and a gentle heads-up when a meeting begins.
These are Mac-only conveniences. On iPhone, Lalela lives in the app as usual.
Keep Lalela in the menu bar
Turn on the menu-bar icon and Lalela is always one click away — with your next meetings and a Start recording shortcut right there, without switching windows.
Open Settings → Menu bar to switch it on. You can also choose to close to the menu bar: click the red window button and Lalela tucks into the menu bar and keeps running, ready for your next meeting, instead of quitting. To fully quit, use Lalela → Quit or ⌘Q.
See what's coming up
Sign in and connect your Microsoft calendar (Settings → Connections) and the Meetings screen shows a Coming up rail of your next meetings, so you can start recording the second one begins — no scramble for the record button.
Choose how far ahead it looks in Settings under "Coming up" horizon — from just today to the next several days, whatever suits how you plan.
Get a nudge when a meeting starts
Lalela can notice when a call is starting and send you a desktop notification so you can choose to record it. It recognises meetings in your browser, Microsoft Teams and Webex.
You're in control of what it sends. Open Settings → Notifications to choose which alerts Lalela shows and what appears in the notification bell inside the app — and add anything you'd rather not be nudged about to "Don't notify me for". You'll also get a notification when a local AI model you're downloading is ready to use.
macOS asks for notification permission the first time — allow it and the alerts work; skip it and Lalela simply stays quiet.
