Working your pipeline

The pipeline is your board of live deals. Each deal sits in a stage, carries a value and a next step, and moves left-to-right as it progresses toward a win.

Add and move deals

Create a deal from a lead or an account, give it a value and an expected close, then drag it between stages as things progress. The board totals update as you go, so the figure you see is always the current state of play — not last week's.

Qualify against the rubric

Artemis asks every deal to earn its place. As you fill in what you know — the need, the budget, the decision-maker, the timing — the deal is scored against a shared qualification rubric. A deal that hasn't cleared the bar is flagged, so weak or wishful opportunities don't inflate your forecast. This is what keeps the pipeline number trustworthy for you and for leadership.

Give every deal a next step

A deal without a dated next action is a deal drifting toward cold. Set a next step and a date on each one; when the date arrives it shows up in your work for the day. Nothing important should ever sit unattended.

Watch the needs-attention queue

The needs-attention queue gathers anything going quiet — deals with no recent activity, next steps that have come due, or opportunities stalling in a stage. Clear this queue regularly and your pipeline stays clean without a weekly spring-clean.

Close it out

When a deal is won, mark it won — it flows into your win-rate and reporting. When one is lost, record it and the reason. Honest closes, both ways, are what make the dashboard tell the truth.
