Getting started

Aretê is a web app that installs like a native app. You'll be oriented in a few minutes.

1. Sign in

Open Aretê and sign in with your Microsoft work account or with email and password. Your access is scoped to your role, so you only ever see and change what you should. On a phone or desktop, use your browser's "Install app" / "Add to Home Screen" option so Aretê opens in one tap.

2. Start at the snapshot

The first thing to read is the operating snapshot: the current quarter and week, your Rocks and their status, the scorecard at a glance, and how many issues are open. It's the one-screen answer to "where are we right now?" — start here every time you come back.

3. Know your role

What you can do depends on the role an admin has given you:

  • Viewer — read everything you're entitled to see.
  • Contributor — add the day-to-day detail: tasks, insights, updates.
  • Department Lead — own the decisions: raise and resolve issues, manage Rocks and the scorecard for your area.
  • Admin — manage people and roles.

If something you expect to edit is read-only, that's your role talking — ask an admin to adjust it.

4. Make your first update

Pick the smallest real thing and enter it:

  • Move one of your Rocks to its true status.
  • Put this week's number against a scorecard metric.
  • Add an issue that's on your mind to the issues list.

Every change is saved live for the whole team and recorded in the history, so there's nothing to "submit" or sync.

5. Let Aretê help

Use Ask Aretê, the built-in assistant, to draft an issue, summarise a meeting, or make sense of what's already in the system. It works from what's in Aretê, so its answers are grounded in your team's real state.

Tips for a good start

  • Keep the scorecard small. A handful of metrics you actually review beats a wall of numbers nobody reads.
  • Write "done means" for every Rock. A Rock without a clear finish line can't really be checked off.
  • Capture issues the moment they appear. The issues list is where they get solved — don't hold them in your head until the meeting.
